Restoring Sèvres Porcelain Candelabras Back To Light with Linda Roth & Casey Mallinckrodt
Absolutely fascinating. Can you please show us the finished restoration? Thank you.
I’m obsessed with this artist. Brilliant.
Lmao, classic Jess. Great lil time capsule!
Thank you for restoring an important and beautiful piece of art that honors such a devoted patriot of our country, Nathan Hale.
Tooooo short. Loved what I saw.
Beautiful song by a beautiful lady and a great backing guitar, no matter how she sings this song it's the right way.
Thanks to the librarians and for your research and presentation, Erin. Well done! The Avery exhibit was also first rate. Nice to see this contextual history after the fact. While I’ve given up hope of finding an Avery in local “antique” shops, his spirit lives on. 😊
I prefer the Tangerine Dream version of this poem, but she has a very interesting voice.
Absolute Banger 🔥🔥
How can an "expert" mispronounce the artist's name??!!
True alchemy
Nicely done! Cheers-Greg
Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand, dare seize the fire? And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat. What dread hand? & what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain, In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp. Dare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears And water'd heaven with their tears: Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tyger Tyger burning bright, In the forests of the night: What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
Amazing! Thank you! I love the description of the four poster with a curtain as a micro environment or a room within a room!
I love her self-portrait in the center. It is full of life and emotions ❤
death by goosebumps ... there ain't no cure ...
what a remarkable woman... once in a lifetime
One Tyger, dead on the stage.
Shared this on FakeBrook, on july 29th 2023. One of the most beautiful songs by Patti, from the album 'Easter' (year 1978).
An excellent opportunity to find out about your work . Thank you .
The singing made me cringe, oof, that's rough
👏👏👏
The production of Nutcracker Suite at the Wadsworth Atheneum is very entertaining. I was there at the dress rehearsal and saw talent all around me, Carolyn Paine is a very creative inspiring leader and dancer.
Such a cool setup
To me it seems that the two versions of the Fortune Teller give us two different psychological encounters: the playful and sceptical one in the Capitoline version and a more flirtatious one in the Louvre.
I think Christiansen's criticism of historiographical authority and orthodoxy spot on. I'm not in a position to judge his theories on the merits, but I think he's pretty good at demolishing at least the unthinking acceptance of authority.
she is just awsome in every way.
what's the name of the piece in the background?
I am told that the ur-Jack o' lanterns were turnips, not pumpkins...
There is a folk tradition that if you always carry an acorn you will always be young and beautiful.
I found a Russian children's book of fairytales with a crocodile in a vest on the cover. Wish I could post it here.
I look forward to visit this exhibition in London. Thanks a lot for this magnificent lecture.
I’m assuming Patti gave the book back to the Met...
Thank you!!
Wonderful!
The Milton Avery show was fantastic! As a long time resident of Windsor, Ct I have never heard a mention of the fact that Milton's family first moved to the Wilson section of Windsor in his youth. I'm going to visit the Windsor historical museum to see if they are aware of this. I'm also wondering if the school records contain any reference to him.
i love the back stories behind the art
Great performance and I love Patti 💓💕 thank you 😊🌷
Red John was here.
She's the greatest ever
Interesting, yet depressing. As new-found historical knowledge often is.
These introductions hurt my brain
Ein Werk dessen Anblick mich immer wieder fasziniert. BRAVO MAX ERNST !
I can so relate to the moving around and doing ceramics at the same time. At the moment I am waiting for my next studio which is going to be built in a few months time and hopefully stays with me for the rest of my working life. So now it is unpacking into my husbands garage to have the other side to create that which is pounding inside my chest. Thanks for sharing Kate.
I liked the composition, but it missed the point. Blake reflects on the tiger with amazement as he contemplates its Creator. The music has no life in it. The poem itself is dramatic in its sound, but the music is not. The poem is alive with excitement; the music comes across as a dirge, as though Blake were in mourning. But he was not: he was musing on the Creator of the tiger!
I would love to learn in a period kitchen how to cook with Mr. Day as my teacher and mentor.
Nice slo-mo!
🥰👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this, so much thought went into it and it shows an appreciation of love as it weaves thru every part of our lifes. Well Done Beth!
